I was born in Winnipeg, moved to Calgary in my teens, and then to the Okanagan in 1999 with my husband. I now spend my time between the North Okanagan, and Calgary (where my son attends college), with a little bit of time down South!
I received my Business Administration Diploma from SAIT in 1999, graduating with honors and a specialty in Management. I went into banking, becoming a Branch Manager with CIBC by 2011. I was licensed as a Mutual Fund Representative, and Compliance Administrator, assisting many individuals with their financial goals, while leading a team of sales and service staff.
In 2017, after many years of DIY renovations with my husband, I graduated from Okanagan College with a Certificate in Interior Decorating, because I was interested in adding some color and flair to our home renos!
Also in 2017, while living in Vernon, I stumbled into Real Estate as a conveyancer, and was quickly promoted to Office Administrator. The brokerage I worked for had about 60 agents, and four offices when I started. After 6 years, we had over 150 agents, and 8 offices. It was my job to set up those offices and oversee their day-to-day operations. I also managed all the support staff and monitored all the general and trust accounts. I was responsible for maintaining the office equipment, systems, software, and transitions. I worked directly with agents to onboard them into the company, and helped them with all their franchise resources, including their website set-up. I also created a library of over 100 training videos for both staff and agents. This was a very busy brokerage, and I was able to meet deadlines, stay organized, and build positive business relationships with agents, staff, lawyers, suppliers, and governing bodies.
Realizing that the favorite part of my job was assisting the agents with their systems, books, and other administrative tasks, I decided to start Bird’s Eye View Business Services. With my years of business management experience, I assist my clients with stream-lining their administration and completing the tasks that can take them away from selling, so they can focus on what they do best, connecting with their clients.
I am extremely organized, with a strong attention to detail and compliance. I am very familiar with the required paperwork for agents in BC, having created the systems and templates being used through TransactionDesk/Webforms. I am adept at multiple programs, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, G-Suite, Quickbooks, Dropbox, Matrix, MoxiWorks, Canva, Social Media Platforms, and all the C21 resources.
